Tour Plan
Day 01
Fes - Ifrane - Midelt – Ziz valley - Erfoud – Merzouga
Depart from Fes and travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains, visiting Ifrane and the cedar forests of Azrou before continuing to the Ziz Valley. By afternoon, you will arrive in Merzouga where your Sahara Desert experience begins with camel trekking across the dunes, enjoying sunset views, and spending the night in a desert camp. This experience is similar to what you can expect from many Fes desert tours.
Day 02
Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Midelt - Fes
The next morning you will want to wake up early to enjoy the magical sunrise among the sand dunes followed by breakfast. After breakfast, you will ride the camel back through the sand dunes where we will meet our driver. Then we will drive to an old town called Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet and the home of one of the oldest markets in Morocco. We continue our journey back to Erfoud, where you will have the opportunity to do some unique fossil shopping. Then we start our return to Fes with a stop for lunch when you are hungry. We will return you to your riad in the early evening.
